V38 Bachelor of Tourism Management

The Bachelor of Tourism Management aims to provide a strong background in all aspects of Tourism Management. It has been designed for individuals who recognise the need to develop themselves for successful leadership in contemporary tourism or travel organisations.

 

Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. One critical factor in sustaining growth in this sector is a competent workforce.

 

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

Admission to the Bachelor of  Tourism Management degree at Joondalup is competitive. Meeting ECU minimum admission requirements does not guarantee enrolment.

This course is available on Joondalup Campus.

This course is available by Full-time, or Part-time mode.
 
MODE OF DELIVERY
This course is available in the following mode of delivery - On-campus.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

The Bachelor of Tourism Management requires a minimum of 360 credit points (24 units) and normally requires three years of full-time study or the part-time equivalent.

The degree has the following main components:

(i) a core program of 210 credit points (14 units)

(ii) a supplementary program of 150 credit points (10 units) consisting of:

  • a 10 unit supporting major; or
  • an 8 unit supporting major and 2 electives; or
  • a 6 unit minor and 4 electives; or
  • a 4 unit minor and 6 electives; or
  • two 4 unit minors and 2 electives; or
  • 10 electives

 

NOTE: All Bachelor of Tourism Management students must complete a minimum of 75 credit points  (5 units) at third year level and no more than 150 credit points (10 units) at first year level.
