G95 Bachelor of Business

The Bachelor of Business has been designed to enable students to succeed in their chosen business profession. Students have the flexibility to graduate with specialisations in one or two Business majors, or to choose a broad-spectrum approach and study a range of Business units relevant to their future career. A number of Business majors are available, from traditional disciplines such as accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, and human resource management, to contemporary areas such as international business, management of information technology and planning. Management practices in the growth industries of hospitality, tourism, sport and events can also be studied as part of this degree.  All Business majors are created in consultation with industry, with many professionally recognised and accredited, so students will benefit from relevant and internationally credible course content that provides linkages and networking opportunities with the real world. Plus, many of the expert lecturers have worked in industry themselves, and all are committed to quality teaching and research which demonstrates focus, depth and impact. The course is also designed to be flexible, offering full-time or part-time study modes and in many majors, online or multiple-campus study options.

A key feature of this course is a unique set of units called ECU Business Edge. This set of integrated units focuses on the employability skills businesses are looking for, including working effectively with others, communicating effectively, self-awareness, thinking critically, analysing data and using technology, problem-solving, developing initiative and enterprise, self-management, social responsibility and accountability, and developing professionalism. With interactive student-centred learning environments in specially designed classrooms, all ECU’s Bachelor of Business graduates will benefit from our employability oriented approach.
