Public Relations Major

The Public Relations program educates students to communicate in a variety of contexts, to research the effectiveness of communication, and to plan the strategy behind communication campaigns. It focuses on the effective management of communication between an organisation and the people it wants to reach. Graduates will have the ability to critically analyse, evaluate and compile new communication strategies; to function as a skilled communicator; and to establish and manage media relations.

The Public Relations Major is accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Australia, which means the course meets the high professional standards set by the PRIA and offers an accelerated path to membership of the Institute.
