Description:

In recent years there has been a change in emphasis towards management of employment relations at the workplace, with decreasing involvement of third parties.  This has lead to a focus on workplace level resolution of disputes as well as enterprise level bargaining and individual employment arrangements.  This practically-oriented unit develops students; ER/IR knowledge and teaches specific skills in workplace employment relations - especially topical issues such as management of discipline, termination of employment and individual and collective bargaining.
