Description:

This is the fourth language unit and is intended to provide preservice teachers with an understanding of the issues associated with teaching English to K-7 children who have access to at least one language other than English. During the unit, preservice teachers will be presented with an opportunity to gain an awareness of the educational, cultural and linguistic diversity of these students and to develop strategies and utilise resources appropriate for the teaching of English in a range of educational settings.
