ECE5196 Early Childhood Language and Literacy

Description:

This unit focuses on evidenced based research about the language and literacy learning of young children aged 2-8. Current assessment and teaching and learning perspectives and practices, taking into account the social and cognitive processes are explored. The importance of family involvement in early literacy programs and relationships with children, parents, staff and interdisciplinary team are considered.
