The Bachelor of Criminology and Juvenile Justice adopts a contemporary approach to criminology and justice education with an emphasis on developing well educated practitioners who possess a high level of academic literacy and professional competency. Students gain knowledge of the contemporary theory and research that informs criminology and justice professions as well as developing practical professional skills relevant for careers within criminology and justice professions. This dual approach prepares students for positions aimed assisting the personal, social and cultural development of at-risk youth. Professional skill development in this course is supported and enhanced by industry practice in a field setting.

COURSE STRUCTURE The Bachelor of Criminology and Juvenile Justice comprises 360 credit points (24 units) and consists of:
Criminology units: 195 credit points (13 units); and Juvenile Justice units: 165 credit points (11 units).
Units are required to be completed in strict year sequence (i.e., all first year units must be completed before proceeding to second year units, and second year units must be completed before proceeding to third year units).
