SCY2116 Facility Security and Technologies
SCHOOL OF COMPUTER AND SECURITY SCIENCE
Credit Points: 15

Description:

This unit examines the nature of Critical Infrastructure security technology within a systems approach. Technology is often used as a tool to mitigate risk in critical infrastructure; however, this is often applied in a piece-meal manner. Therefore, this unit of study will present the broad range of security and security related technologies within a facility, where the students will gain an understanding of the foundation principles, technologies and systems of such equipment. These technologies will then be considered as a system for the protection and risk mitigation within the critical infrastructure environment. Over the course of this unit, students will be expected to produce a whole-of-systems design.
