Credit Points: 15

Description:

This unit focuses on the processes of learning, an analysis of current understandings of learning, and the theoretical bases for these. The unit has a major self-reflective element, requiring students to focus on themselves as learners in order to critique and refine their own learning practices and set goals for future learning. Students will use autobiographical experiences and research and observations in schools/centres to reflect on children’s learning and the nature of a learning community. In addition, students will examine theories on the link between motivation and learning.
