| This unit provides students with an understanding of people in relation to work and organisations. It explores the behaviour of individuals, groups, and organisations, introducing the student to such areas as motivation and learning, job design, structural types and group dynamics. The application of these key concepts to arts organisations are investigated together with emerging organisational trends. The unit takes into account different cultural contexts and teaches students an appreciation of how to function sensitively and effectively in a multicultural society or in cross-cultural situations.
