The five-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Bachelor of Business double degree at Edith Cowan University combines a Law degree program with a Business degree program. The double degree provides students with lifelong transferable skills equipping them for employment in a wide range of professions, and for further study in a variety of disciplines.
SPECIAL EXIT POINTS Bachelor of Laws OR Bachelor of Business can be awarded if sufficient credit points in the relevant program are completed and subject to meeting the course structure of that award.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
Bachelor of Laws The ECU Bachelor of Laws degree satisfies the academic requirements for the admission of law graduates as legal practitioners in Western Australia. Professional recognition has also been extended to the off-campus mode of delivery from 2010. As with other Bachelor of Laws degrees in Australia, before a law graduate may be admitted to the legal profession in that state or territory, certain additional requirements must be satisfied after completion of the Bachelor of Laws degree. For law graduates seeking admission in Western Australia, refer to the Legal Profession Act 2008 (WA).
Bachelor of Business (Accounting) - CPA and ICAA accreditation Students completing the major in Accounting and who are seeking CPA and other professional body accreditation must take LAW2410 Income Tax framework as a LAW elective in addition to LAW3102 Corporations Law (Core Law unit) instead of LAW2300 Company Law as noted under the Accounting Major listing.
