EDU4224 Teaching Children who have English as an Additional Language

Description:

In this unit pre-service teachers will further develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for teaching English as a second or additional language. The unit encompasses second language development, factors that impact on second language learning and models and approaches that can provide a framework for developing an effective English language teaching programme. A feature of the unit is the opportunity for pre-service teachers to carry out a teaching practice in an international or local setting.
