Practice in different styles of contemporary dance at an intermediate level. The unit continues to develop understandings of the skeletal structure through increased awareness of the significance of alignment and efficiency in movement practices. Allied studies in duo and improvisation complement the increased breadth and complexity of technique required at this level. No one contemporary dance technique is prescribed and students will experience a range of current contemporary techniques which may include the Graham, Cunningham and Limon techniques and release work.
