Description:
This unit develops critical thinking by encouraging students to use evidence to evaluate and understand the place of science in society and the application of science in daily life. Students learn how to investigate, understand and communicate about the physical, biological and technical world. The unit will promote student-centred science learning and extend teaching skills so that students plan and sequence science experiences to be implemented using a variety of teaching strategies. Material-centred inquiry science experiences appropriate for children in the early and primary years will be used.
