Description:
This is the third of four units in language and literacy education and builds on preservice teachers’ knowledge and understandings developed in Language and Literacy 1. The main focus of the unit is planning to cater for children's literacy needs across the curriculum. It focuses on reading and writing across the curriculum, children’s literature, literacy and technology and critical analysis of texts.  It builds on understandings developed in Introduction to Language and Language and Literacy 1 and is related to the concurrent units Assessment and Evaluation in Learning and Technology and Enterprise Education.
