Description:
This unit will use reflective processes to engage and extend students' thinking about children's learning and development. The focus will be on how children's learning is constructed, and how it changes over time. The unit will analyse the physical, cognitive, emotional, cultural and social development of children between four and twelve years and the associated implications for teaching. This unit aims to provide students with a sound knowledge base from which they will be able to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality programs for children from diverse backgrounds during early and middle childhood.
