CSG5151 Australian IT Workplace Culture

Description:

This unit examines culture, values and common work practices in the Australian IT workplace.  The unit focuses on preparing students to deal with typical multi-cultural situations that may arise for IT practitioners in the Australian workplace.   Background studies of relevant legislation, such as equal opportunity, health and safety and diversity legislation, are provided.   They are followed by practice in dealing with social, group and organisational problems that may exist for the multi-cultural practitioner in an IT context.
