S97 Graduate Diploma of Professional Computing

This one year (120 credit point) course has been designed in partnership with the Australian Computer Society to provide IT graduates with an opportunity to enhance their job readiness. It includes on-campus coursework and a mandatory period of internship in industry.

 

The Graduate Diploma of Professional Computing accommodates students of the Australian Computer Society Professional Year. While all qualified students are eligible to apply, it is designed for international graduates with an IT bachelor or masters degree holding a Skilled Graduate (Temporary) Visa or Bridging Visa A. International students holding a student visa are not eligible for the programme. Students who meet the requirements of the ACS Professional Year will receive both this Graduate Diploma and the ACS certification.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for this course students must hold a bachelor or masters degree in IT or a related discipline. International students must have undertaken their studies in Australia and their degree must have been awarded by an Australian university.

 

In addition international students must hold a Skilled Graduate (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 485) or a Bridging Visa A. Students holding a student visa are not eligible for the programme.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students must demonstrate English language proficiency via an IELTS overall band score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0.

Students must complete the four units of study listed below.

 

Please note that the ACS Professional Year Programme requires 80% class attendance and 90% attendance for the internship. In addition students are required to attend a one day orientation session prior to commencing the course and a one day concluding session at the end of the programme.
