Description:

This unit introduces the student to the history of Western Music. Basic concepts, principles of design, and the cultural significance of Western Music from the Middle Ages to the present day are studied. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of skills in critical listening, written and oral communication and the acquisition of basic research skills.
