Description:
Introductory studies in the use of new technologies and concepts in dance and music. Classes will be practical where possible, encouraging creative thinking about the relationship between sound and movement. The practical aspect will also extend to hands-on classes on setting up a sound system, a MIDI system and an introduction to the possibilities of interactive movement generated computer music. The primary source for research on the topic will be the internet, where students will be encouraged to establish links and communication with practitioners in the field world-wide.
