This unit will examine the development of atonality and serialism of the Second Viennese School represented by Schoenberg, Webern and Berg, as well as other composers influenced by the dodecaphonic approach. The experimental approaches of composers such as Cowell and Varese will also be included. Students will continue to build on their music skills in performance, composition and arranging. | |||
