NNI3204 Professional Issues in Nursing
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Prerequisites:
240 credit points gained in Nursing and Midwifery units in years 1, 2 and 3.
 
Description:

In this professional nursing unit, the student will demonstrate advanced analysis of current knowledge in a specific area and arguments for the integration of appropriate theoretical concepts into the practice setting. The unit involves an analysis and evaluation of  political and professional governance structures in nursing, allied health care professions and health care delivery systems which influence policy, planning and quality. The contemporary role of the nurse, responsibilities and career expectations of the graduate nurse within the health system are also examined.
