This unit examines the range of vocational options for persons with a disability and considers the implications of important human service principles for the design of vocational service systems and for day-to-day practice. Assessment and programming within vocational service settings will be introduced, as well as barriers to employment faced by people with disabilities, and specific barriers relevant to specific types of disability. | |||
