SSE2105 Society and Environment

Description:
This unit is designed to motivate and engage students in investigating, planning interesting and relevant teaching-learning experiences in Society and Environment for early and middle childhood learners. Participants, as independent and collaborative learners, will have the opportunity to explore and develop, in a variety of learning situations, their own understanding of the complexities of the conceptual background of the learning area and its links to the social sciences, the humanities, the physical sciences and the other learning areas mandated for W.A. schools by the Curriculum Council. Investigation of current international, national and state research findings and initiatives will enhance and develop participants’ professional knowledge of the learning area.
