The unit focuses on the relationship between recent models of leadership and emotional intelligence in the management context. The unit outlines current thinking on mixed and ability models of emotional intelligence, the main concepts of new paradigm leadership and reviews the relationship between these concepts. The learning methods adopted allow for the progression of understanding of the literature, followed by self reflection and application through the development of a personal plan. The unit seeks to provide the student with an up-to-date understanding and critical appreciation of the link between these contemporary psychological and managerial areas. Full Unit Outline | |||
