Law in Business Major  
MABUUT 
G95 BACHELOR OF BUSINESS 
 

This major provides a foundation in a range of Law units with commercial relevance and seeks to support and enhance the employability of business students in disciplines such as Accounting, Management and Human Resource Management.  

 

Careers: 

Company Director, Office Administrator or Manager, Administration Manager, Contract Manager or Officer, Compliance Officer and Legal Administration Officer.

 

Important note: While most of the units in this major are units in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, successful completion of the “Law in Business” major does NOT in itself provide a career pathway into the law profession. 

 

The “Law in Business” major is not available in the double degree Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Business.   

 

The Major consists of 120 credit points (8 units) as per structure listed below.

Additional notes for students completing an Accounting major in conjunction with the Law in Business major.
Students who need to do or have done LAW2300 Company Law may use that unit to replace any second year elective in the Law in Business major.
Students who need to do or have done LAW2410 Income Tax Framework may use that unit to replace any second year elective in the Law in Business major.

Important: neither LAW2300 nor LAW2410 are Law degree (LLB) units and credit cannot be obtained for them in that degree.
