SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Description:

This unit provides an introduction to diversity within the regular classroom. A particular focus will be on the differing needs of students including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, those who are gifted or talented, have English as a second language, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, those who come from different cultural backgrounds or are in some other way potentially marginalised. Students will be given the opportunity to develop strategies that have high utility in the classroom and that enable all children to be able to access the curriculum.
