EDS4131 Post-Compulsory Education as a Foundation for Lifelong Learning

Description:

This unit reviews the current developments in senior secondary schooling in Western Australia and their implications for curriculum development in schools. The major social, political and economic factors influencing changes will be examined. Senior secondary courses, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and workplace learning will be explored in relation to post school study and employment opportunities. Students will investigate the implications of developments for the professional life of teachers and for year 11 and 12 students' learning and employment opportunities.
