POL4130 Themes in Global Politics

Description:

The aim of this unit is to provide an overview of world politics in an era of intense debates about the extent of globalisation; the impact of American power; the rise of China and India; and the extent of opportunities for international cooperation on a range of global problems.  In examining these debates the unit will offer perspectives from theories associated with globalisation and international relations.  It will also apply these theories and debates about world politics to contemporary case studies.
