CUESTA06A Apply a general knowledge of theatrical rigging
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply a broad knowledge of theatrical rigging to the live entertainment workplace.  This unit may be required by a range of technical production personnel who need a general understanding of rigging, including those involved in lighting, staging, sound and audiovisual production.  This unit may also be useful for licensed riggers who have limited knowledge of the theatrical work context.

The skills required to actually undertake rigging are described in separate units from the Building and Construction Training Package.  It is those units that form the basis of licensing requirements for riggers.  Precise licensing requirements will vary between States and Territories.
