MUE1004 Teaching Western Art Music

Description:

In this unit, students will examine in detail Western Art Music and its pedagogical implications, particularly within an Active Learning model as it applies to the Curriculum Framework. Students will focus upon suitable teaching repertoire, resources, aural development, performance conventions and methodologies through to Post Compulsory course levels, and examine the new place of Western Art Music within a changing social and contextual curriculum framework.
