CPE4112 Teaching with Learning Technologies

Description:

The unit provides an introduction to computer-related technologies in education with emphasis on the use of these technologies to support teaching and learning processes in schools.  Students will develop a level of computer literacy appropriate to using computers as tools in teaching to support student learning, for professional productivity and as a personal learning resource.  They will consider the pedagogical and curriculum implications of the use of such learning technologies as they plan learning experiences for students. The unit is also concerned with the critical application of approaches to the processes of reviewing, developing, and implementing digital educational resources.  Students will develop an understanding of, and competence in, the application of various computer systems and software for the development of digital educational resources including in the application of current thinking and principles in instructional design and educational software development.
