WAAPA00040 Rehearse and perform dance repertoire
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS
 
Description:

An introduction to the performance requirements in ballet and contemporary dance leading to participation in rehearsal and performance of ballet and/or contemporary repertoire. The mode of training is delivered through rehearsals and performances, simulating on the job workplace activities. The creation of new choreography is an interactive process between the choreographer and/or rehearsal director and the dancer, so dancers receive constant feedback on their progress. Competency in this ‘designated’ unit is essential for a student to proceed through to the next level of the course.
