Description:

This is a teacher education and practical studio unit with an introduction to printmaking.  Students will gain proficiency in a range of printmaking processes: monoprinting, relief block, stencil and intaglio.  Various approaches to image development, including digital methods will be introduced as a means of encouraging students' individual approaches to image making.  The unit will incorporate the history and development of printmaking and address the educational value of printmaking studio practice.
