Description:

This unit will introduce the student practitioner to an advanced understanding of the concept of risk and risk management strategy. The unit will examine the philosophy of risk as a distinct discipline with diverse enterprise application. The world of risk is a multifaceted one, and many different perspectives will be explored, from fields as varied as banking and policing, to homeland security and corporate governance. The unit will introduce the fundamental frameworks and standards of risk analysis, theories of risk management, and their application to an integrated organisational strategy.
