Description:

This unit analyses the evolution, function, structure and funding of a number of different health and community care systems. The unit offers a framework for reviewing the legal, economic and political context within which health and community care are delivered. Different ways in which health and community care systems can be organised and financed are explored and the challenges different national health and community care systems face in dealing with similar issues are discussed.
