PAD3107 New Technologies and Creative Practices

Description:

This unit enables students to develop skills in the creation and manipulation of digital media, which can be applied to performances, installations and exhibitions, either as integral to the presentations or for the purposes of promotion.  Some students may consider screen technologies as the vital medium of presentation to create a short film based on or merging one or more creative arts' genres.  Focusing on still and dynamic graphic images, students will explore 2D, 3D, digital audio and video software.  The emphasis is on increasing awareness of the technology and its applications in the fields of the creative arts.
