The emphasis in this unit is developing a high level of competence in contemporary career counselling skills, underpinned by relevant theory and research. The unit includes in-depth exploration and integration of multiple personal and contextual influences on career decision making. Included is identification of personal strength and preference themes and patterns, opportunity exploration and alignment, work and life goal setting, action planning and contingency planning.
