Description:
This unit is the introductory curriculum unit of study for secondary students who wish to undertake a major or a minor in the teaching of Society and Environment. It includes a study of the nature and character of Society and Environment/Social Studies as outlined in the Curriculum Framework.Areas of focus include new directions for Society and Environment, planning learning experiences, outcomes based teaching and learning, resources, and concept development for the middle childhood and the early adolescent years of learning.
