Description:

This unit explores a range of education and promotion issues pertinent to community mental health nursing practice. Using adult learning principles, the unit focuses on both patient and family education. The unit also introduces the student to the special considerations necessary when caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The unit outlines the special challenge of caring for clients with comorbid psychiatric conditions.
