| In this unit students will analyse the relationship between changing social, cultural and family structures and approaches to child rearing. Goals, assumptions and strategies underpinning a variety of approaches to child rearing and the application of these approaches to both the home environment and settings outside the home environment will be critiqued. Students will also examine some issues related to the 'teaching' of child rearing to parents. This unit is linked to CHN3203. Students who have completed CHN2201 or CHN3203 units are not eligible to enrol in CHN4211. Full Unit Outline | |||
