| This unit outlines the basics of the prevention of health problems through health promotion and the role of psychological interventions in the management of health problems such as smoking and weight control. It also incorporates applications of psychological knowledge in the treatment of physical disability and the restoration of optimal levels of functioning and the minimisation of disability.
