PHE2103 Teaching Health Education 1

Description:
A study of basic lesson planning and implementation for secondary school health education classes. The teacher's organisational skills appropriate to the teaching of health education will be emphasised. Attention will be given to the understanding of the current Health Education curriculum resources suitable for Western Australian schools. Provision will be made for the development of personal teaching skills by involvement in micro-teaching situations with peer and secondary school groups. The unit will examine the role and scope of health education in society.
