CDE4417 Introduction to VET

Description:
This unit helps teachers understand national training reform and its effects on schools. Contemporary developments in VET policy, practice and the context of workplace training are considered with respect to post compulsory education programs and organisation in schools. The needs of VET stakeholders (providers, adults and post compulsory students) and related issues are considered. Developments in VET environments are discussed and programs and practice and application in schools are explored. Relevant programs for schools that integrate national training programs into school VET programs and organisation are prepared and developed.
