MAE4101 Current Issues in Mathematics Education

Description:
This unit will examine significant issues associated with current and proposed practices in mathematics education. The issues will be examined on the basis of assumptions about the aims of mathematics education and the processes of teaching and learning mathematics. A major focus will be the expectations and needs of students and the community, the impact of recent curriculum initiatives and the implications of research.
