LAN4110 Teaching Reading and Writing to Adults

Description:
This unit is the introductory unit to the Graduate Certificate in Education: Adult Literacy and Numeracy. Based on an understanding of the social construction of literacy, the unit focuses on basic teaching strategies and related theoretical perspectives needed for teaching literacy to adults. It is preferable for students to have some regular contact with an Adult Literacy student.
