Description:
This first language unit in Early Childhood Studies focuses on oral language development in children 0-8 years. Students will examine ways in which language is constructed and developed in a range of cultural and social contexts through exploration of language learning theories and reflection upon their own and children's use of language. On the basis of their understanding, students will observe, plan, implement and evaluate a variety of language learning activities for children 0-8 years in a range of contexts.
