| This unit focuses on the role of evaluation in public health programs. Students are provided with opportunities to identify types of public health evaluation and to analyse the theory, methods and problems associated with the measurement and evaluation of public health initiatives. Students are provided with opportunities to critically appraise the strengths and weaknesses of previously-conducted qualitative and quantitative public health program evaluations and to critically analyse health research findings. An introduction to computing and statistical analyses applicable to public health evaluation is provided and students develop public health evaluation plans. Full Unit Outline | |||
