Within the context of the principles of contemporary approaches to learning this unit offers an in-depth study of various teacher preparation processes for teaching-learning in the Social Sciences at the lower secondary level. Emphasis will be on planning excursions, teaching and learning skills, values, civics and citizenship. Participants will explore web based curriculum materials suitable for the lower secondary years and utilise these in their preparation processes.
