The main goal of this course is to enable students to reflect critically on curriculum and pedagogy in Social Sciences at the secondary level. Current practices and issues in teaching/learning and assessment of learning in lower secondary school will be introduced. The focus will be on the development of knowledge and skills that will facilitate the design and implementation of a variety of teaching/learning strategies and curriculum appropriate and valid assessment strategies.
